Busy Weekend!

1, 2, 3, 4! Two arms and two legs! It feels like there are these spindly little things wanting to sprout from the ends of them. I hope they do soon, it gets a little boring counting to 4. Anyway for now I have 4 things to tell you!

On Friday night Mom and Dad took me to my first bar. Party, party, party! Their friends are crazy man. Dad tried to be funny telling everyone that I was coming in his punny and creative way (I can see that is going to grow old soon), and no one understood. So then he just blurted out, “Oh geez, I knocked’er up OK” to all their friends. Real classy dad. Have another Guiness.

Sunday afternoon, all I can say is thank goodness Mom isn’t a male Hindi! I’d surely be pierced by now! We went to Thaipusam, what a sight. Guys with pins and needles all through their bodies were carrying kavadis (these large semi-circular metal structures) or hooks in their back pulling portable altars. Ouch!

I overheard a few conversations this week. Today, mom and dad were trying to decide if I was a boy or a girl. I don’t even know what that means except one of them has a friend named Willy. Anyway it doesn’t sound like they want to know … today. Gosh, I hope they can make better decisions when I have a load in my diapers!

Finally, the other conversation I heard sounded like a bunch of little people (well bigger than me) all crowding around mom and saying things like:

“I heard you are going to have a baby!’
“Are you now Mrs. Robinson?”
“If you are not married how do you get a baby?”
“Are you going to get fat?”
“Where is the baby? Is it at home or in your tummy?”

I don’t know who these little people are, but they sound like they could take my lunch money! Keep them away mom!

Oh yeah, one other thing that I heard some people asking was, “Why Seven?” I’m only guessing here, but … Lucky Seven, I’m the seventh cousin, Mom and Dad are math geeks … your pick really … remember my dad thinks he’s funny, he’s going to be so embarrassing …

Seven Out!

  2. Just so you know Seven, not ALL of your family is quite so Punny. If your dads lame jokes ever get too painful to bare you an always come visit your cousins Jodi and Dylan. As long as we keep you at a distance from great uncle Pete you'll be alright!
